Dr. Astrid Harris is a Clinical Psychologist who completed her Master of Clinical Psychology and Ph.D. at the University of Sydney, focusing her research on the assessment and treatment of eating disorders. Astrid has extensive experience working in both public and private healthcare settings and strong skills in the treatment of eating disorders, trauma, and most other mental health conditions.
Astrid enjoys working with individuals of all ages and particularly enjoys supporting neurodivergent individuals, parents of neurodivergent children, and families and individuals who have experienced trauma. She provides a neurodiversity-affirming approach to all clients, parents, carers, and anyone seeking to understand and support their neurotype.
Astrid welcomes clients of all ethnicities, genders, ages, and abilities, creating a safe, welcoming space for her clients with her open, non-judgemental, and experienced manner. She likes to include humour in her sessions, and believes that therapy is a space to explore any part of the human experience.
Astrid is a Board-Approved Supervisor and enjoys supporting and assissting the professional development other mental health professionals.
When Astrid is not working, she enjoys rock climbing and other outdoor adventures, pottery, the ocean, and good coffee.
